Saudi Falcons Club

The Saudi Falcons Club is a club founded by royal order in 2017, and is supervised by His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince.

To preserve and promote the historical heritage and traditions of the falconry culture in Saudi Arabia.

Objectives of the Saudi Falcons Club

The club aims to take care of Falcons - as a cultural and Heritage Heritage - and support activities related to them in all respects, and in order to achieve this, in particular, the following :

  • 1- Contribute to the definition, highlighting and dissemination of the heritage of Falcons.
  • 2- Holding Falcon events inside the Kingdom, and organizing them.
  • 3- Holding Falcon events outside the Kingdom, and organizing national participation in them, after coordination with the concerned authorities and taking the necessary approvals.
  • 4- Holding auctions for the sale of Falcons, after taking the necessary approvals for this.
  • 5- Managing the lands, sites, fields and reserves allocated to it, or what is entrusted to it to manage, use and preserve them, to carry out its tasks and achieve its goals, within the limits of what is required by these arrangements, and in a manner that does not prejudice the competencies of the concerned authorities, and ensure that they exercise their competencies.
  • 6- Cooperation with universities, colleges, scientific research centers and health institutions, to conduct scientific studies and research related to Falcons.
  • 7- Organizing, organizing, and participating in Falcon-related festivals, exhibitions, and conferences inside and outside the kingdom, after taking the necessary approvals.
  • 8- Cooperation with regional and international bodies and organizations related to the club's activity, according to the regulations and instructions followed

The kingdom has also joined the international agreements related to the protection of falcons from extinction and the protection of migratory birds, in addition, about 20 thousand Falcons practice falconry in the kingdom. Falcons have been associated with humans in the Arabian Peninsula for thousands of years, as falconry or “falconry” is a way of life and a hobby inherited by Arabs generation after generation, including the international leadership of the Arab Falconer until the superiority of Arab falconers in training and hunting falcons became recognized globally. The club aims to preserve the historical heritage and traditions associated with the culture of falconry and play roles related to awareness, training, research and work programs to protect Falcons and the prosperity of hunting sports to remain a legacy inherited in the kingdom generation after generation.
